All of us who work with food need to be concerned with how our work impacts the environment, the people, and the sustainability of our planet. The food industry is tasked with providing people with safe and healthy food. There have been, however, several food related scares with outbreaks and recalls. We emphasise the importance of food safety with all we work with from the point of production, through the entire supply chain, to the retail and consumer levels. The issues and aspects involved with food safety and quality are diverse and complex. It is important to have efficient access to as many useful resources as possible. This is our humble attempt at helping our partners find crucially important information to guide their food safety practices.
