DESCRIPTION

Oats are a whole-grain cereal mainly grown in North America and Europe. They are a very good source of fiber, especially beta glucan, and are high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.The oat, sometimes called the common oat, is a species of cereal grain grown for its seed, which is known by the same name. While oats are suitable for human consumption as oatmeal and rolled oats, one of the most common uses is as livestock feed.

• Russian Federation is the largest oat producer in the world with 4,424,433 tonnes production per year.
• Canada comes second with 4,237,300 tonnes yearly production.
• With 1,209,580 tonnes of production per year, Poland is the third largest producer of oat.
• United States of America, with 771,440 tonnes of production per year is ranked at 9.
