DESCRIPTION
The curry tree is native to southern India and Sri Lanka, and its name gives rise
to confusion on several fronts. A member of the citrus family, the tree is a small
tropical evergreen, but there is also a curry plant from the same region, which is
used more for ornamental purposes than for cooking. And while the leaves may
be used in some curries and curry blends, they are by no means an essential
ingredient in curry or curry powders.
